Guest Bedroom, Upstairs Hall & the Loo

The guest bedroom

If you come for  visit, this is where you will stay.  Though my nieces and nephew have sort of laid claim to my guest room.

As you can see,   I'm expressing myself with purple!   I figured that one wall is a small investment and easy to change when I get tired of it.

Before

During..
The beauty of colour blocking a wall is that you  can basically  do it in all of one hour.   I just recommending takign your time taping the edges to make sure your edges are straight and the colour doesn't bleed through.

Anyway, I'm digging the colour it.  If you're interested, it's from Sarah Richardson's collection for Para called "Amethyst SR54".

THE HALL

I adore the vintage deco style lights in the upstairs hall!

THE BATHROOM

Okay I admit I love all things vintage.  And once upon a time, I dreamed of having a claw foot tub.   But now that I have it,  truthfully,  I'm over it!

Ditto for the stained glass window.    Pretty?  yes!  Practical? No. What good is a bathroom window if you can't open it.

In phase 27 of my reno (slated between 2013 - 2016) I will have a brand new modern glass \ walk-in shower with body jets and  a rain head shower.  There won't even be a tub.   But till then....
